Greater Richmond SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now) Resilience Week is meant to promote a sense of community and connection, helping people work towards developing the skills and mindset to build resilience in their lives. For their Fifth Annual Resilience Week, SCAN set out to engage a broader audience with an awareness campaign targeting the general public in Virginia.
To promote the event, we were tasked with building a full visual identity and creating social, display, and broadcast content. Inspired by the tradition of quilting, we devised a simple yet profound concept: “Piece by Piece.” This metaphor captured the essence of community building—each individual experience contributing to a larger, more resilient whole. Vibrant colors comprised our visual identity, reflecting the warmth and inclusivity of the campaign.
The end result was a simple yet moving broadcast spot featuring images of inclusivity with an invitation to begin healing through connections and a greater sense of community.
