SITUATION: Sponsoring the Twitch Rivals Minecraft competition provided Capital One with two big opportunities. They could appeal to prospective tech talent by showcasing their virtual card number (VCN) technology. Plus, they could reach the Twitch audience, which includes savvy online shoppers who could benefit from using virtual cards.
SOLUTION: We created a 60-second animated world that represents what happens behind the scenes when you use a virtual card online. Isometric angles and charming characters felt familiar to the gaming enthusiast audience. You could even spot a few fun Easter eggs from their previous virtual card explainer videos. It was another great co-op adventure with Capital One.
